Work From Home Moms: Success Comes In Many Forms

By Yuriy Lim

Leaving a newborn to return to your job can be one of the toughest things you will have to go through as a mother. The fact is that it does not matter how old your children are, as leaving them can be tough. There is another answer, though. Many work from home moms have become quite successful in what they do.

A lot of work from home moms were shocked to discover that they could actually make more money at home than they could in a traditional job. After paying for daycare and dealing with the commuting costs, not a lot was left from their paycheck. However, once they started working at home, they have fewer expenses and get to keep more in their pockets.

Most important to these mothers was that they did not have to leave their children with someone else and could spend more time with their children. As they can always be there for their child, even when they hire a mother's helper to come in a few days a week, they are still within earshot and know what their children were doing at all times. For most mothers, this is what success is all about.

The one thing you do need to know, though, is that it may all sound good, but it can be difficult at times. Trying to get a two-year old to lie down for a nap so you can get some work done can be tough. In order to be successful at everything, including taking care of your children, chores, and work, you have to be good at prioritizing. After all, letting the dishes go for a little while is not going to harm anyone.

Success can mean something different for each one of the work from home moms. Many consider success to be all about the money, but the truth is that success to many will mean being able to keep their children at home and never having to leave them in someone else's care.
